Victron Quattro-II 2x120V (3000VA) is a combined inverter and battery charger designed for North American 50-amp 120/240V split-phase electrical systems, commonly used in boats, RVs, and off-grid setups.
It can connect to two AC power sources, such as shore power and a generator, and automatically switch to whichever source is available. The unit can pass through and use the full 50 amps of incoming power to run AC loads and charge batteries.
If only 120V single-phase power is available, the Quattro-II automatically distributes that power across both output lines so your entire electrical panel still receives 120V power.
When no external AC power is present, the Quattro-II switches to inverter mode, supplying 120V power from the batteries to keep essential devices running. However, 240V appliances only work when true 120/240V shore or generator power is available, preventing large loads like water heaters or 240V air conditioners from draining the batteries.
